RCL Map ("the App") is a map and navigation guide for Rough Creek Lodge. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

Location Data

With your permission, the App accesses your device's precise location to display your current position on the property map. This helps you navigate the Rough Creek Lodge grounds.

• How it's used: Solely to show your location on the map within the App
• Storage: Your location is processed on your device and is not stored or transmitted to our servers
• Your control: You can deny location access and still use the App to browse locations; you simply won't see your current position on the map

Local App Data

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

• Cached location information (names, coordinates, descriptions of Rough Creek Lodge points of interest)
• App preferences and settings

This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to external servers except as described below.

Third-Party Services

Firebase (Google)

The App uses Google Firebase to sync location data (points of interest at Rough Creek Lodge). Firebase may collect:

• Basic device information for service delivery
• App performance and crash data

Apple Maps

When you request directions, the App opens Apple Maps. Apple's privacy policy governs data collected by Apple Maps.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Account credentials (no login required)
• Payment information
• Contacts, photos, or other personal data
• Advertising identifiers
• Location history or tracking data

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect the limited data processed by the App. Since we don't collect personal information or transmit your location data, there is minimal data at risk.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The App is a general-purpose navigation tool suitable for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
